FIFA World Cup Win: South Korea Over Portugal

When I was a "big" athlete, which wasn't even that long ago, they were JUST starting Women's Soccer at Wahlert. No joke. And I remember thinking, after I went to DePaul, even though we had a pair of cool, Kuchii brothers at DPU on the Men's team, "I don't know if I see Asians ever playing this sport."

I'm not one to follow the FIFA World Cup, especially when hundreds of people had to die creating the infrastructure for it (???!!!), but kind of following Korean Soccer and hearing about Son, Heung-Min (Also #7), listening to KBS World Radio news the entire pandemic, I've been keeping my finger on the pulse of how they're faring in Qatar.

I am typically a cry-once-every-five-to-ten-years type of person, but I caught this rolling by on my YouTube feed & literally involuntarily burst into tears, for myself, the Peninsula, and the Korean people the world over, watching it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eK8wuE0mfD4

Cristiano Ronaldo's hot (and married--Respect), but it looks like the Golden Race has both the Golden Boot and hot boys of our own...Maybe next time Cristiano's in Seoul, he'll actually respect his Korean fans enough to get off the bench & play.

Time for some "National gymnastics" by sokodomo.
