      If I had children, they would be reporting to me about how they're effectively making the world a cleaner place by FIGHTING BACK, as strong, proud Korean/-Americans, with the mind their mama gave 'em--or they'd be disowned.
      To be clear, the definition of a "ch*nk," and a completely inappropriate response by any Asian/-American present, for any amount of time, in the face of any kind of -ism relating to their people or their ancestry, is to literally "be nice" and do nothing if they're not genuinely transcended above it. What that is is allowing me, or children in schools, or Asian-American talent in Corporate, Government, Entertainment, or any other industry, to be attacked for no reason other than protected class. From a collective standpoint, this is a no-go, as an effective strategy.
      It is worth noting that both TAIKO Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar, & Ichiban, disclosed to me that they had large rocks thrown through their windows--multiple times--Ichiban before they even opened, if I'm recalling accurately, and there was no question that it was racially motivated--with Indonesian, Malaysian, Taiwanese, Chinese, & Korean Adoptee employees around to look upon it since no one was Japanese in the building--with "White," some with Native American ancestry, Staff also privy at the former.
      On a positive note, I watched a Documentary by a Muslim female on Netflix on Saturday night about modern-day White Supremacists/Nationalists, including those mentioned in past E-Updates, and at least they all seem far nicer and willing to Heal than the ones I was privy to in research in Academia and subsequent Civil Rights involvement.

      Around the time the last without-a-doubt debacle in income-earning in this country occurred, Darryck Dean (See my LinkedIn profile and website below) was still contacting me, outside of orders, with the still-unknown meaning of the send of the track, "Redbone," which we both heard for the 1st time, during a DOJ/Darryck Dean "recruiting" trip to Kansas City at this time last year, when it became clear that a life of standing up for Black people, and all people treated inequitably, was actually being answered, in a context of what was becoming years, at that point, with so-called "leaders" in the African-American community in the Dubuqueland area making a concerted effort to join the White racists and religious bigots in this area in wiping me off the map, likely permanently...It looks like they were that desperate for something to "unify" about since, the real way, it seems, I alone have the answer for...BUT they tried!
      Interestingly, following my recent News send on Harvard University and the lawsuit(s) against them, I have yet another situation to relay since I've seen a number of you at this location already, and the words of another timely Childish Gambino song come to mind, "THIS IS AMERICA..."
      Please note that, as far as I know, my Civil Rights are still unprotected by The City of Dubuque, per Crenna Brumwell (You can find details by responding to this E-Update by e-mail or going to my worldwide web website in the Signature below, or refer to previous E-Updates, where applicable), in which case, for lack of other options, thus far, I'm allowing Karma to take its course. Bottom line is, if she's right, I will be exposed as a liar and fraud, where my Purpose is concerned. And if I'm right, everything the death and destruction, in my life, that decision has touched, will not only continue to boomerang back, but the power of its full exertion will belong to me and, therefore, belong to Just ends, as determined by God, with my full support.
      Again, and again, Civil Rights violations are crimes.       If you are part of the White majority, you must decide, as I have so clearly stated before, whether you will fight for Justice and Freedom for the entire human race, or not.       I am conclusively stating today that after many years representing all-encompassing Spirituality that leaves no Path behind, and watching the world crumble to lack, every kind of weakness, immorality, a lack of pride, discipline, self-mastery, personal evolution, and doing the right thing when it matters most, including the takeover and subsequent bastardization of American Yoga--all these things most notably within the "Business" world of my original grooming, which, at this point, clearly no one is schooled in who's actually in it, and clear, structured environments based on merit and "best" has been replaced by people's drinking or drug connections and/or who they're connected to, sexual-history or baby mama-wise, the enlightened lose hours and jobs because they have no illegitimate children or addictions to feed, including for material possessions, like everyone else, so are punished, rather than held up and rewarded, people who are clean are seen as having something wrong with them because personal hygiene and the Health Dept. have gone out the window, and the endangered species who still have the dying "Iowa work ethic" and can actually put their cell phone away to use it, are told, then, to do everyone's work, while everyone else looks on, but then looked at with disdain for making everyone self-reflect and not like what they find...that there is no reason to go down to the border for a nation of people who still watch their friends and neighbors, their own family members, in some cases, taken out by racism, bigotry, religious intolerance...a fundamental breach of contract...and that there is no reason to hope for equal treatment for the LGBTQ community when the color of someone's skin is still a reason for such ill treatment at work that literally every single colored person ends up illegally terminated or treated with the goal that they quit, like suicide, doing the majority cohort (controlling the money and power) and their sometimes-minority cronies "the favor."
      The generation that fought against the Vietnam War, fought for Diversity and Civil Rights, but also showed us the dark side of sex, drugs, and Rock N' Roll, as their legacy, apparently wants, out of all of those things, not to end the fruitless, and asenine, practice of war, as veterans off themselves like popcorn popping, nor to ensure that Civil Rights are almost totally solidified with the clear Law Enforcement that they deserve, before they outta here, but on watching as drugs, and their potentially spread legalization does (purposeful?) population control on the weakest of weak, to improve the gene pool of a vastly unconscious, mixed-into-oblivion populous with no power of bloodline, no legacy, no pride, literally no nobility, no racial or ethnic understanding, much less appreciation, and, I hesitate to say, no Soul, except where certain individuals have been spared, as an act of God or the rare who actually consciously breed.
      How can you share anything when you "know nothing," including about where you're originally from? Do you care about the nation of your original peoples? When Bankruptcy or natural disaster or atrocities find them, do you feel pain in your psyche as you're walking down the street, or have you so disconnected from your own truth that you are owned by no one and, also, seems like, CARE for no one, either?
      What do you teach when you avoid relating to just about everything because you "don't know" about just about everything, including yourself?--!
      What do you think the impact is/will be on Education in this country? On the products of every school in this country?
      Do you think that children who know, without hesitation, who they are, and are sure that where they come from is essentially, and provably "Good," constantly say, oftentimes in psychological turmoil, "I don't know" and think to blow up a school or shoot other kids?!
      My message in participating in the School District this year, as opposed to "teaching the masses," as has been the usual, is, and was, all things are connected, as Chief Seattle reminded us...and we are grooming either all the people named and called on the rug on my website, and in the various forms of my Teaching, or we are creating the Game Changers who will lead the way truly because they are the select who actually see it.
      This Sight is not the creative power vested in all people.
      It is a Gift that requires no ego effort to access and is given to those that Fate has created for that Purpose.

      I could tell she wanted to continue the conversation after her meeting she had to go to, but I think she could tell the feeling wasn't mutual.
      Like Kohl's Department Stores, Inc., and all the places in Kansas City, right before I came back this stint, HR in 2018 is about using protected class violation to "protect your own" and punishing those who aren't, even if those places literally end up non-existent soon after.
      If you want to focus on revitalization of the North End, focus on the beauty of the Bee Branch because there's no hope in what I've just experienced with this restaurant. American Nightmare.)

(Note: Showed I was above more juvenile mind games--I go to source first, where appropriate. In addition, this was normal communication that normally would've been had with Lindsey at the restaurant--but I still had no schedule for next week, there was a possibility it wasn't even made yet, and Lindsey had not shown up [again] last night--at all. Things went much more smoothly without her there, as they did at a Lunch when she failed to show)

      My counsel, both internally and externally, says that after how my initial offer was handled, a clear exit would've been called for, and that's a euphemism, by other people's takes.
      Amongst the highlights of last night, my section had 8, Afton's had 28. In the absence of any sort of Manager, again, it seems we've been working together, as "Servers" to do that, and my lines, now, on that are clear. I had a nice group of older women who were well traveled in Asia this week, unsolicited, tell me I was a great Server but far too educated and "using my time better elsewhere" to be serving in "this place."
      I notice I am the only Asian in the Front of The House and that I am routinely talked down to, and that the $5 base wage by a questionable Consultant dropped to $4.50, after employment, then again to $4.35, in spite of inquiries for clarification.
      No one communicates things such as drastic changes to the dress code so that it looks as disparate as it feels, operationally.
      I believe it is best, and I will finally take that counsel, to use next week to finally work on my Resume and continue my search for very well-fitting, commensurate work.
      My Specialist in Iowa City this week solicited my attention to P.A. School.
      I will see the restaurant tonite!

Brad, what I told Jillayne continues here, too, (Note: Lindsay attempting to talk down at me and make me look bad at work, though it's not working) though people seem quick to correct themselves, when confronted. Apparently Lindsay was telling everyone I was delinquent in showing up yesterday morning when the way she said "good-bye" to me Thurs night was modifying my schedule by taking me out of Fri. A, at my tequest, with no problem. When asked why she did that, she muttered "I don't know..." and walked away backwards.

Afton is also trying to be Mgmt., pre-Title? She acquiesced when I asked her about that later, when she came in for Dinner and tried playing disciplinarian about my Lunch shift that dodn't exist. When I told her what really happened, she said, "Oh. I don't know, then..."

Customarily, Server's Assistants, or Bussers, make a very small fraction of one's total sales, and not any, in some settings, especially when they've stopped helping you because they notice the "Manager" has, also, for instance, doing her self-stated job at the Bar, and it's generally noted how fast you are tocare for your own section.

This is perhaps worse than the Alice In Wonderland stuff I noted in rounds of interviews with your company.

Thiltgen said Setving wage was $5/H, as a selling point. Lindsay was telling all of us, in spite of my reporting otherwise, it would only be $4.50.

I think, had I not made it a priority, the Restaurant would've been operated withoutblood all over it last night (Note: The restaurant, while keeping the Kitchen open at 110+ degrees, with broken ventilation, became the site of the recent hit and run on the North end).

Yesterday, today, we are in active heat advisory, with cooling centers around town. In the event of Ventilation breakdown, you may want to check to see if any Health Code/OSHA policies exist about the heat in the Kitchen...Certainly I would say that seems inoperable, from an immediate assessment standpoint.

I also had a customer make a blatantly racist comment to me in front of many people, in 2 days there, as this type of bigotry seems not reserved for the area outside building walls. We might take a look at protocol on that, rather than have me handle it on the spot, as usual. For this to happen in an Asian restaurant so early is not a good sign. (Note: There were a number of no-no things going on, racially, specifically, on a regular basis there. One of you said, "That's more than a microaggression," when I called it that, just calling the the real thing. I'm willing to call real things microaggressions sometimes now because that's how regularly I'm having to deal with this again)

The hourly wage for any orientation thru the restaurant will be minimum wage, $7.25 an hour. If you’d be interesting in picking up some serving or hosting hours this summer we would love to have you.       Hi, guys--I was wondering what the hourly is for the Orientation hours for the restaurant. Sarah said last week, after I let her know I'd completed my Onboarding, that those hours had already been logged but didn't know the $ information.

      I also didn't know if you were still interested in my taking the Wunderlich, therefore being able to assess where things were at.

      Either way, I wanted to be sure you didn't need to see my identification to complete the HR work.

      Hi, Brad! In my endurance test of searching for finally-commensurate work, yes, Sarah (Thiltgen) is encouraging me to talk to you about the Front of House leadership role, as a step in the right direction. Perhaps it's too last-minute, but anytime after the school day, this week, would work, especially Tues. or Thurs. I could likely also make tomorrow work, preferably around 2:45 or 3.
      I'm glad that you guys were able to make part of a vision I've been pitching my Power Yoga following, as well as local leaders, a reality, as I was also trying to encourage a number of companies and people from major metros where I've lived to come to this area/Iowa, assumably as I'd be building my own Power Yoga (school).
      I look forward to hearing about what Sarah has said is a diversification of what seems like your already-strong core competency, that being Hirschbach.

He was supposed to have HR send me the Psych/I.Q. test he uses for placement at Hirschbach, but now I have Sarah Kluesner, now Thiltgen, their consultant (Note, 6.22: Star Brewery, crust, the German Bank building), still breathing down my neck about getting on the floor to 'help Pete'--as a Cashier (Server), even though they've all acknowledged the patterns of activity against me (Note: exploitation thru abuse, waste, and fraud in gross overqualification and/or underemployment), especially where 'employment' is concerned."
