I've Seen a New World

As time passes, I notice that I've left the warnings of adults twice my age behind, filling my just-exploding-into-being-on-my-own-ears with mistakes they'd made, or ways that they couldn't see a way around whore'ing themselves, & so they sold their soul, maybe multiple times, probably in many ways.

The crime against humanity is, or wasn't, just that they did. It's that they would wish it upon someone who they could clearly see had as good a chance as anyone at not falling into the same traps, if the opportunities presented themselves. The double crime is to run after that being with some final daggers, years down the road, as though said being can't feel that it is you & would not have the right--now on more than 1 count--to wish you exterminated.

The crime is that this is far too common an experience in people who childbear. Pretty soon, who isn't buying into the most insidious crap? It's traded like cards in Poker. It becomes ingrained, almost made solid, rather than thought or belief-like, like raindrops frozen by human will into piercing, pointed icicles, hung in mid-air, so that walking outside becomes like being in frozen hell, & everyone but the awake R calling it normalcy.

I'm being prohibited from entering any "real" path of being part of the world again, at this point, oftentimes explained to me by silence, broken promises, & minds that can't hold a positive thought once I'm off the phone with them or out of their sight.

This goes back, from what I see, to the Native American overtaking through lies, deception, straight-up corruption, & Godlessness--the deepest kind of irreverence & racial/cultural ignorance & fear.

This world, oftentimes, pervasively, is a series of takeovers, so it's not that this one was much different than any other one people wanting or taking another people's s**t.

This was different, though, in that the peoples who inhabited the lands now called the "United States of America" were far more enlightened, or spiritually centered in their existence than those who took them over. Obviously. To the high heavens, a special grief exists in special cases like this. Especially for those who know the karma that will come of such mass crime. It is not worth mentioning. It is what it is.

Consider, however, that a truly spiritual people cannot disconnect themselves from the care & wisdom of everything biological, including the Earth, the sky, & the energies that affect the planet, creating the spiritual experience of the people.

Thus, when the Earth is danced upon by such people, who are almost like orbs of Light creating gladness upon her skin, any feeling, thinking person can sense what might be upon the (most dishonorable, darkest adjective) people who have so chosen, as an all-over energetic charge, & all who come after them who have failed to correct the blood that has never come clean, of their own people's doing. And yet, the United States of America, in particular, is known for complete lostness & disconnection from any kind of roots, as people disenfranchise themselves in order to get that much closer to an identity now proving itself, like never be4, to be a tangent of destiny, where leadership on Planet Earth was or is concerned. And it shows. Pleading ignorance in every direction. How can I be held responsible for slavery, for concentration camps on United States of American soil, for the rape, mutilation, murder, & penning up-like-wild animals of mystics, holymen, oracles, & the bravest warriors, culture aside, when I don't even know, to be honest, where my Grandma came from, because I'm defined by my inability to get her, then blame her for it, then look to my porn collection & my facebook page & my constant stream of texts while driving, then almost hit some hot, clear, calm, & present guy on his motorcycle because--"Why can't they get a fricking car!?!? God. Those things R so dangerous."

I'm tired of Native Americans being wary.

I'm sick about feeling like I've been around this country for years, feeling like I'm searching 4 people, movement, & energies that R as natural & peaceful & rapturous as anything that has ever existed, & they're not there.

I can't imagine what it might feel like to dance ceremonially with my feet pulsating the Earth in complete & total rhythmic Oneness, like love-making to the mountains & streams & grasses & my entire history via every cell on the bottom of my feet to the ends of the hair on my head. Or to chill out around a fire with a Chief in full headdress & regalia who makes me feel safe just by being in his humbling presence, instead of the toxic, noxious ways of life that have come after for people of all ages.

Or to learn how to heal a soul--not a body part--& watch demons & disease leave a body from a shamaness.

Or watch a herd of buffalo thunder past, like lightning, like dancing beasts of endless prairie, that feed me, my tribe--body, Mind, soul.

That which was inspired & established as a most special, potential land of Light has had well over 150 years to prove itself. In many ways, that's literally nothing.

I was bought and sold. Literally. And I've watched, since leaving the angelic, almost otherworldly, aura I left college with, as the world around me seems to become less and less everything, the longer I walk, even when I sit to watch, & how easy it is 4 people to cast stones.

I've seen rootless people stand in Christian triumph, insinuating that we are a "Christian" nation, in clear bigotry, ignorance, & not-even-walking-it-themselvesness. As a dedicated, devout Roman Catholic of more than 20 years, I have to say that I've never met a Christian who trumped the solidity of the Catholic religion, in terms of depth & discipline, despite their recent issues. And, as someone who has left that practice but leaving no stone unturned in my loyalty & reverence 4 that part of my life, who now stands in the truth of my connection to Source, which is truly my own, I say that I have yet to become aware of any part of our country's supposed "Christianity"-ruled history that shows where it wasn't as flawed & lacking spirituality as anything corrupt in existence. Especially in international relations.

And that goes back to the Native Americans. And every other person of true interest in the destiny of the special, potential land of Light established on this continent. We were never meant to be a melting pot. We were meant to be a union that would win the Game between humans & God--the most complex kind--in which all these random peoples of every single expression would come together, try to live as neighbors, & choose to illuminate themselves by honoring in all directions, especially within. In doing so, it would become a spiritual infrastructure to facilitate the only true growth that exists, & any trade, bartering, or exchange would be to facilitate these enlightened goals. For one person to be starving while the next is insane, disconnected, on crack/cocaine, & has a stockpile of money in various places bigger than Mt.Everest is out of alignment with the reason we all exist.

Those who cannot feel the suffering of their own race--the human one--or of the Earth, or of Spiritual Law being broken into shards in a million places so they can have their daily Starbucks & run to their Benz R causing global warming, earthquakes, flooding, & the rage of an Earth Mother who does not know emotion but raw feeling & response that does not have the capability or luxury of interpretation.

She feels your disease, how you harm yourself, how you ignore it & call it progress, & how you continue to masturbate off the disintegration of the only sacred peoples or things that have ever existed around you. How you'll use any energy that you can get your hands on to further your out-of-God/human-alignment-intentions, like cannibals feeding off the already-abused, then maniacally dousing yourself in wine because, by all good measure, you are already drunk on human blood & then barely notice that Hollywood keeps putting out more films & TV shows on vampires.

Give the Native Americans back much of the land. And only if they need you, will you return to help them since they are beyond bruised, beaten, & broken. Why don't you start with the states that make this Union look the most like a raucous joke--that have never been able to really find stability or viability--at least recently. It's because your people don't BELONG there. Don't you get it? Their skin's not made for it, nor their perception of beauty, & they have not found peace.

And all of us who were brought to this land for reasons not of our choosing, other than to be used like Duracells, how 'bout we create a law that says we ALL get 1 free roundtrip ticket that can be made one-way, if we generally like where we came from better. I just hope you don't wonder where all the "good vibe" goes since you spent most of our lives taking advantage of our talent & amazingness while we were here & thanking us by discriminating against us, stripping us of our real names, & projecting all of your ugliness onto us. Gee. There will be no one to do that to after some of us R gone. Looks like you'll be ugly & alone together. Hope you're happy, even without us around to be sad.

And while some of the descendents of slaves & all the international, interracial adoptees flee the country (the ones who decide they R actually at 110% as Koh, Jin Hee, rather than, say, "Amy Schmelzer," especially as the walk into adulthood continues, as mentioned above), as well as immigrants who came over sold on the word-of-mouth that this was supposed to be the hypest country on the planet & realize it's a complete sham--a spiritually diseased, disjointed place of misplaced focus & positive PR to the rest of the world, is-about-to-self-combust-because-of-its-corruption-from-its-beginnings-but-let's-blame-it-on-the-business-world in 2011.

While that's going on, there might actually be leaders who can effectively put their foot down on people who are here without being citizens or anything legitimate. It's not that big of a deal, but NO, it's illegal, so get the f out. And nothing against you, but when you've got a better plan than let's-hide-in-some-undercarriage-&-sneak-like-a-fricking-2-year-old into (one of) the most civilized countries in the world (As you can see, there's a long way to go, y'all), we'll welcome you with open arms.

But you won't get to meet so-and-so when U finally arrive cuz she gave up hope when, after being stuck out in the Recession for an ungodly amount of time & watched all the "good" people she used to know show their true colors when their fear & routine & lust for their material addictions & lies became more important than her life, & the Fortune 500 company never called her back, & then she found out they were being busted in multiple states for masses of citizens from other countries being given a nametag that said "General Manager" because they formed a clique--I hated cliques, even in high school--& were given, like, $45,000/yr. salaries to do a job she had the ability to do after sophomore year in high school, much less college, & she watched as all the White people whose kids they don't speak to now actually hire these people--they all smoke dope, & not for medical purposes, do nothing of real outstandingness in any part of their lives, but they're good at being soul prostitutes, then blaming it on their parents--they don't hire the one U won't meet, even for fun, because her inner authority just asks EVERYBODY to take a step back & see what's being created & how it's become the "American way."

And she stood up for all a y'all when she wore her Catholic girl skirt on the playground like you were her own brother--Black, Purple, Red, Yellow, & Brown, Gay, Dorky White Kid Who Almost Got Beat Up, the Left-Handed. Like a stick figure, fighting monk warrior chick with a loud enough voice to scare ALL the bullies away--even with a bow in her hair. But no one cares about being a REAL American minority who's earned his or her proud stripes in this society by being AMERICAN--by being pounded out like metal into a sword with an ornate scabbard until you can fight your own battles & win because this is now your home, too. Or that all these new minorities coming over to fill the current soul void of those in power don't care about because they can play White person & get any other role-playing ability for any other Color they need from facebook & LinkedIn.

Martin Luther King, Jr., who? I'm here to rape the Earth, just like all the other souls who seem drawn to this place cuz that's what they do here.

We won't say "no" to illegal immigration in everyday life, but we will allow our repressed anger to build up into a hate group who'll go down to the border & try to "do it themselves" & start shooting people up for the pure, White race! After all, the people who actually really feel that way would never want to do it. They'll psychically push it onto dumb, White, younger people who have less to lose. I'm too busy playing with my dog, Buster, who I have a relationship with that borderlines crazy because I'm so unnatural I can't even feel my hand while I'm reaching down to pet Buster--Buster & my morning paper. Not my wife. She's in the kitchen with a waxy expression plastered on her face from years of my looking at her one way, thinking she's all varieties of things that would hurt her feelings if she knew I thought them, but I want to go down on the girl next door. Just the thought of that keeps me quiet & keeps us together.

And now, I'm gonna get REALLY upset about this because Freedom of Speech--especially the really intelligent, wise kind from kids who were raised in our schools & went to our churches & are stuck out in the Recession & made money for our athletic departments--because mind control started replacing that a while ago. That, &/or Hollywood. So unless you're striving to feed our downward spiraling expectations & wealth that has never worked for everyone on this planet, we're gonna leave you out in the cold 'til one of these prophecies comes true about the world ending. And if you're not a rack of bones by then, maybe we'll wipe the drool off your face & ask you what the heck U were talking about in 2002.

Bring it.

The New BBB

I have had some really bad run-ins, I'll say since 2002, from all aspects of the "real world"--escalating to unfathomable heights within the past few years.

I have called upon major newspapers, local law enforcement, "corporate" heads, the Health Dept., the Better Business Bureau, politicians, their assistants, http://www.yelp.com/, etc. etc. etc., following all of the proper channels, escalating as necessary, to report things such as spiritual, racial discrimination, bullying, sexual harrassment, wrongful termination, racial profiling, fraud, shady selling techniques, a failure to stand behind their product(s) or service(s), amongst others (crimes, that is), & I have to tell you that from the Heartland (Dubuque, Kansas City)(, now Phoenix) to L.A., no one's answered the call. Literally. No one's doing their job, but they're also keeping me from having one.

Well, having won the battles I've chosen to engage in, to prove a point about principle in said systems, in regard to corruption in traffic court, the Unemployment system, other "yoga studios," & my "career"--whatever that is for a true yogi or 4 me, at this pt.--& also in my personal relationships, there is still a need to expose these people 4 the same reason the Better Business Bureau used to--which is to protect conscious people from falling into the wrong hands--because now this stuff's in their track record, & nobody wants to relay that data to U.

It seems if you come to call too much, they think U'r the issue. What if the person is actually, & unfortunately, 100% right and accurate every time?

So, in an attempt to give people what they really need--the truth, the whole truth, & nothing but the truth, so help us God--from certain people appearing good-natured but quite opposite behind your back, the way they spread lies or warnings or "no's" about me because they can't answer to the excellence I'm holding, or because they have been a stagnant, cheating, energy & idea stealing, if not stealing altogether, needs-to-be-ended business or entity overrun by a lack of spirituality, virtue, &/or their own mission or values for way too long, I'm more than happy to provide a list--like PETA--of "boycott, do not work 4, & do not support with anything positive" the places that have literally slammed the door in the face of a complete person erring on the side of goodness, merit, & the rules all of us played by--or were supposed to--growing up, in school, in sports (at least in this country) or whatever meant possibility & achievement of becoming "the best" to you.

The list will include both employers & for-profit & non-profit companies, orgs, & notable people who don't take kindly to me, this Movement, or those on a spiritual path being allowed to live, in general--at least not where they're at!

As always, no hostility. My vote's been cast. They should close their doors, from top down, all their employees forced to live in cardboard boxes 4 a set period of time, preferably on a piece of land not really desired by anybody & not part of the United States. But if U'd like to help them, integrate their energy into your daily life, &/or keep throwing your money at them, as though these things don't coalesce into bigger problems such as scandals, lawsuits, people getting hurt (on purpose & not), etc., do I really need to get a bucket of popcorn & sit in lotus position on a park bench & watch? More?

And if U'r also one of the people in this country who allows this kind of s**t to go on without standing up to it or 4 what's true, U might as well join them. In the cardboard boxes, that is.

I mean, my 1st thought when some random fitness person on 'roids (Yes, it was a girl, yes, it was a retired, former policeman & his scary-looking daughter or sex kitten. I couldn't tell) threatens me in any way while I'm practicing asana or some whacked out geek who ranks at about, oh, 4, maybe 3, in his personal life in every category, won't employ me because he knows I can see the drugs he just did last night but won't hurriedly send my Resume up the ladder, either, cuz, no matter how many places I've walked from or how much crap life has thrown at me to see what I'd do with it, his 1st thought, because of THEIR situation, not mine, was that I was their savior walking through the door--my first thought is, for example, my potential students. I would never, EVER, in the name of all that is holy on Earth & beyond, think of bringing ANYONE into a place & open up the energy in that space for Source's work or healing that allows or o-kays the belittlement, harrassment, or destruction of a holy person or holy activity. I don't care if it's practice or what. And when said moron--My bad if he's your Dad--is like that, I want him put behind bars. For murder. Of a holy person. Through neglect. And abandonment. Because he's the 100th one in a row. And I still haven't killed any of them yet. I just don't have that kind of heart. To do what is done to me every single day.

Good luck feeling good after running their food, their consciousness through your system.

"Whatsoever U do to the least of my people, that U do unto me" said 16 years of Catholic school. So my question is, what about when they do to someone who's not the least, &, in fact, one of the leaders?

But I'm not holy, either, because I'm American. Even though I was brought here thru international, interracial adoption, and against my own will (My tiny little body kept rejecting your food when I first got here, until I "learned to like it"). U do not recognize me as enlightened because I don't fit your stereotype--comparing current master to old with a neurotic, eagle's eye, due to your own hatred, lack of faith, & invasion of another being's person--even though I saw your soul bound to me, faster than the speed of light, almost like a large dog with its eyes wide & its heart rate high. U do not recognize me because U do not know the history of the races or their spirituality. U make mice out of yourselves, rather than living masters yourselves, because U compare apples to oranges of Buddha to Jesus Christ when, to be revealing, God now makes ascended superstars with the depth of humanity in their eyes who come with all the tools, bells, & whistles &--get out of the way--can choose to be with U however they want cuz there's nothing they do that wouldn't be spewing all of those transmissions.

And when U want them to act like the least part of your person & clean your toilet because U'r half the importance, as a soul, as their pinky toenail, U think that is going to work out?

Effective immediately: May 5.11-U can add Officer C.Jones from the City of Phoenix Police Department & the "Honorable" Judge Wendy ? from the city's Municipal Traffic Court after having him bully me about where I was sitting be4 she came in, watching him control her energy during the proceedings (Gotta love being clairvoyant!), & then having her turn the subtle nuances of real, human truth into a(n outdated?) law book of reasons why corruption & a lack of compassion "win" when a 125 becomes a "motorcycle." When I told Patricia, the GM at Del Taco (still wondering why she wouldn't fight 4 my 2nd wrongful termination in Phoenix by bringing me to her store, like she has the 10 DOZEN other refugees from the store up in Anthem), afterwards I was told I was going 60 on my scooter, she laughed, "Does it even go up that high?" Yea, & after turning right coming off a full stop? Highly unlikely.

There's nothing honorable about corruption, much less corrupt judgment, so this Movement will be moving on. From the law. And thinking anything special about them. Unless they EARN it. It's no longer a given.

Then the lady downstairs at the Courthouse, & her boss, say when I tell them I have no money to pay the citations, so I'll take Community Service, like the judge opted 4 me to do in detail. And the lady goes, "U have to be eligible...R U even TRYING (to find a job)?" I must've given her a reason to start shifting in her chair, "What did you just say?" The man came out of his office behind her sensing escalating tension. He denied she'd said anything rude, "Yea, I was right here. And she didn't say anything--" "Right here?! Behind that wall--How would U know--U aren't sitting where I am." "I heard her, & she didn't say anything like that."

The corruption/incompetence continues.

I'd mentioned when I sat down, "U can ask the Unemployment Agency in CA--I've been fighting corruption there, too (too meaning about what happened in the courtroom)."

For those of U really following this, U will be glad to know she looked like she finally got it when I stood up & said, "I've been in your FINE STATE since LAST JULY & haven't stabilized income since, & I graduated from the top of my class from a private institution!"

(Silence).

I'm disgusted by the people here & the devolving faces of chimps who still have jobs. I want some dolphins behind the counters. At least they'd be fun to play with.

So no, everyone who's suggested I be an attorney, over the course of my life. I think today just helped me seal my fate about who gets me, & who will never, due to displayed what-you-got alone.

And what they got will give them cancer, if they don't melt first.

P.S. If U e-mail, I'll tell you all that I know, however, &, as always, I will be 110% honest, but I won't be spending more time on these people than they're worth. Life is a battlefield, & like the Elvish princess in "Lord of The Rings," the way she does the Ringwraiths that follow her on her horse when she's trying to save Frodo Baggins, after she's crossed the river, I deal with things. The Amy Jin way. And sometimes--most times, actually--I can't be accountable 4 the sky falling down on people. It's like Genghis Khan. I like to call it "Destiny."

The above situation can be put in perspective when U consider I was racially profiled & harrassed (mentally, psychically, & physically) by one of a number of unmarked, dark cars, camped out on the Frontage Road going up to the apt. community where I live while on a break/walk from job searching all morning, the day after the Tucson shooting. I never did get Sheriff Armindaree's boss to call me back, after several calls to both the City of Pheonix Personnel Dept. & then the Maricopa County Sheriff's Department, after I got his name to report him. Maybe it's because, when I scraped together the $2 (No, they absolutely could not comp me a paper by only having a credit card, not cash) to buy the AZ Republic's big job section (that basically implied the world was coming to an end & contained no jobs at all for the capitol of an entire state), I took the time to sit back & enjoy reading the ENTIRE thing, & I find out that the Sheriff's Dept.'s been under investigation for a long time for abuse of power, etc.--scandal-wracked with all sorts of delicious things--so badly, in fact, that the state escalated it to a federal level cuz they couldn't handle it.

The girl at my apartment blurted out that maybe they picked on me cuz I was HOT! Make me climb over a cement wall to "get off the road!," scale down a cliff with my Starbucks cup (Just a brew), tell me to walk down in the desert cuz there's a path down there & take off! when I climb back up, running after their car, when I realize there isn't one?

No $ for an attorney means taking my collection of crimes-done-to-me to the EEOC since Legal Aid doesn't handle discrimination. That means sitting around all day, paying for parking with the magical money I don't have, & then possibly not getting helped because that's the way it is there! Ever heard of SCHEDULING?! Or, somehow get an attorney, & sit, like a clear, crystalline Angel in the courtroom telling nothing but the truth, & have everyone around me lie & then judge in each other's favor becuz they have more in common?

Arizona Republic reads: "Irony: Buddha-Like Power Yoga Teacher Collapses From Stress and a Broken Heart Outside City of Phoenix Municipal Courthouse and Cannot Be Brought Back To Life."

I'd rather teach.

It is I who come to tell U this: You R made as natural as the sea, as flowing as the rivers, the streams, the merriment thru a child's heart at nothing.  My heart is your heart, but U cannot be me, as I am one with me, spiritually, so entirely eons of time.  Your records mean nothing 2 me.  You tell me of your rules as I stand there observing what is.  Eternally.

The difference between a master and a child is a master has a will, knows it, owns it, knows it, and chooses in every direction the delight of his/her soul path.  The straight and narrow, even if it looks meandering, rolling, and smelling-the-flowers-is-he/she.  A child chooses chaos which comes from not knowing rhythm, time, illusion, completeness, and process.  I am on this yoga mat.  U are not.  I choose to be on this yoga mat, amidst infinite other possibilities because I am conscious and see the implications.  You are still addicted to your patterns, other people's energy and opinion--not even facts--about you.  And you judge before it is time, bringing yourself to death before your time!  The world is not made to end in tears.  What are you here to believe about this time on the planet, God-Human?  Goddess Soul who does not remember how to dance?!  Shame on you 4 nothing 'cept the misalignment which U choose!

When you watch, do you use your eyes to see beauty, to observe purely the truth in the very moments that pass you by, or do you use your eyes to do the violence U hold inside, too long holding the tensions that mount and are nothing but doing no one justice by finding a way to let them go in sheer health?  You, holder of the opposing perspectives--Split yourself no more with the death grip on the anti-Source balance which holds that wrong is just as powerful as golden deliciousness that seeks nothing but the Sun inside.  It is YOU which brings us closer to death, as a people, with your need for darkness to shine your Light.  You are afraid to let go into the rapture where you are pure, without regard for others, as though the generation of energy around your charisma would not summon the entire angelic hierarchy, much less humans who can see, feel, and touch your flesh!

Be free!  Be free, I say!  The only thing that holds us back from making this world our heaping cup is our ugly ignorance that we are anything but pure Creators who can choose to align our will with God's!  Where is the Church in our State?  Humans created State from the highest point of inspiration possible to reflect Spiritual Law because we thought a society based on choosing love over all else was too hard, so we brought it closer to where we were.  When is the rewriting of the expectations when the average has shifted towards mastery but the belief is that we are still ill-equipped and predisposed to choose the path of pain and suffering?

We have placed our humanity-made creation above the eager, hungry, abundant, shimmery sparkle of the Spiritual World that looms above us, begging to, honestly, take over this planet, if we could trust, be open to receive, dance in Sufi circles, our arms and hands open wide, as we take it in like raindrops or gently falling snow, unifying with nature, experience, enchantment.

 

Instead, we spend our time in ways which train our posture down, crumpled, unworthy, as though our will was not placed in us for a battling reason--so that when the rain falls down, we might grow like shoots in Spring, or in snow, join the snowflakes, swirling in our own unique creation.

Instead, humans fold like monsters, like hideous things...while the select few dance for their lives as they scream for the salvation of the living--to be saved from the context that keeps them bound to the want of wrongful death because others refuse to believe that they are, simply, and need nothing more. 

Choose that U are Light.

Beings here in Phoenix, I am somewhat shocked to report that I have been deemed a less than perfect fit for Sumits Yoga, so effective immediately, I no longer teach there.

I have to say that the reason was that a very loose structure and dictate of what "Flow" was going to be there turned into a series of details in the past 24 hours that were set forth as "you have to's," including the use of music, which I was clear I was interested in doing after I saw regular faces, & I was sure that they were really Inter. to Adv. aspirants.

I am disappointed, and I have seen way too much of this up & down, let's take someone's livelihood away because I'm rolling a dice with your life.

I was faced with the realization in the shower, however, just standing there, as though turning into water droplets might not be far from the truth, & going with them wherever they were going, that this was actually a big decision for me, and, for whatever reason, it felt like the right one.

I was told last week that my strategy & helping focused students in this time slot develop a really solid fundamental expression of breath, drishti, and then asana was actually a GREAT! idea, but then the heat was turned way up on me--as 2 students from week 1 turned into 10 the 2nd, just by my showing up to practice there. I had joked with the Receptionist I had hoped there would be 4--a reasonable goal. I guess I'm not understanding the lack of commitment to tradition first or to my teaching.

I think it's actually pretty par for the course lately & also really pathetic, to be honest.

I've never been more sure, however, that this is my way of trimming off the fat, so to speak, from my teaching, which is a very vulnerable place to be.

As U know, as far as flow goes, besides some of my colleagues and veteran yogis who work music wonderfully into their classes, as I have been known to do, as well, I trained in Santa Monica Power Yoga to spread it, which is a prayer danced to an even deeper ujjayi breath than the Ashtanga from whence it came. And, to my soul, I find the Ashtanga lineage my home and quite perfect, as Sri Pattahbi Jois had mentioned in his writings.

One of the most sacred places I have ever stepped foot into was an all Ashtanga yoga shala in Northern California where the power and intelligence in the room could've taken me straight to Source, if I sat there long enough.

Pulling these shenanigans on people is not right. I think we should get ourselves clear before entering into agreement and then attempting to use force in our spreading of yoga.

To all of you whom I was honestly looking forward to helping through Ashtanga-Based Power Yoga class, I am really sorry that this happened. I am certainly not for erratic pulling-the-plugs on eternal things, especially when my heart was in it. It looks bad.

Yoga Is a Spiritual Practice: That's Why It Had Me From 'Git

There is a desperate need in the United States of America for sacred spaces for the holding and spread of true yoga, in energy, truth, and tradition.

I would like 2 say that I have been hideously deprived of both teaching places and spiritual community, across the country, since people began seeing me as a "Teacher of Teachers," "Leader of Leaders," or God knows what else, who might be destined to/may choose to be in leadership in a place of her "own" one day. This space would not belong to me. It would belong to the universe and its powerfully efficient evolution thru me & the devotion of my life to this mission's being fulfilled.

I have to say that American yoga has deeply concerned me, though I am somewhat of a baby, still, in terms of who is out there as a living representative of the depth that yoga can be lived anywhere in our country.

Permanence and truth in any area resides in the soul.

I am concerned that yoga is seen as a physical routine, much like going to the gym. I find it interesting that people would even question any yogic practice as being anything less than equivalent 2 going to church, synagogue, mosque, or temple. I am concerned that I have been rejected to teach in yoga shalas that are being run by householders trying to make a living off of something funded by a spouse who works in the corporate world and thinks that yoga is like going to the gym and is never told otherwise. And they go to church on Sunday while I am in practice around the same time.

I am interested to know that in 9.9 times out of 10, the owner, or owners, are White. Western. As in cowboy, old-school White people.

Who question an Eastern girl with highly recognized spiritual gifts and a propensity towards all things truth-bringing, especially in an Eastern way, to teach an ancient Eastern spiritual practice that was probably around before Buddhism & Hinduism made an official split.

I am astounded that, as a yogi who fancies fashion, my students, while I was full-time yoga teaching in all-yoga studios, were able to purchase the material items needed for the practice well before I could, when I needed them. And the excuse for not studying more in-depth was that the practitioner was working on said practitioner's 3rd car.

Yoga has been, is, and forever will be a spiritual discipline. My statement today is that any person, organization, school, or studio Westernizing, fitness-izing, Medical Community-izing, or otherwise destroying the pure, unfettered, untarnished, Spiritual Law that has, is, and forever will pour through and manifest as beauty that cannot be replicated, enlightenment, purity, power, and untouchable virtue in and radiate from any aspirant with a devout heart and a willingness to achieve Samadhi 4 the benefit of all humanity & the balance of Mother Earth & the Universe that we spin in get out the way, get out the way, get out the way--MOVE! And be instantly smote out. Without a lick of hesitation.

You don't get the glorious/glorified benefits of yoga from anything but completely having fallen in love with God/Source.

And I consider it a testament to the insanity of Americans, in general, myself not included, that it should ever come up, amongst my colleagues, that I am greedy because I have an elite academic background & my beginnings, as an adult, in Business, because I have the sanity to ask to be paid what I'm worth when they R used to disempowering their "subordinates" in any situation, &/or when I am wondering if I will be able to afford groceries for the rest of the week in this way of life, which came to me through Divine Guidance, not by my personal desire, only to have the very same yogis attempt to guilt/blame me for not registering for the workshop, not studying with them (and the other 50, in my estimation, inadequate teachers, no matter how veteran, who are not worth studying with because they want me more than I want them), or associating themselves with non-practicing retailers who like the OM symbol who join in their chorus of hating and pressure called: "what-other-yoga-crap-could-I-buy-4-them-not-the-perfect-n'-natural-path-I'm-already-on."

Only to have the same practitioners, mentioned above, who, after going to mass on Sunday, study with said owner/teacher--because, yes, that owner/teacher wanted them to come to his or HER class, not mine--decide to join in on the dissing chorus, agreeing I want too much, after they come running up to Reception so happy because they've finally! got that 3rd Earth-dissolving car cuz their neighbor has one.

I am conscious of who I am, and amongst everything, I am consummately American. Not stereotypically. I said consummately. I hope you'll join in my vision of believing in the beauty of the human spirit in our country, that is in repulsive health, to return to its natural power and, like a true yogi, assist me in smoting out ignorance where it exists, or gently ushering it on to its next evolutionary step, whichever is required not by personal vendetta but by God.

And for ALL you expecting-tips-before-you-give-something-to-be-grateful-4 and all you no-enlightenment-bein' personas tryin' to sell me more dead weight products & services, how 'bout you find me a good, solid place to teach. And how 'bout when I see you in class, without the cigarette hangin' out your mouth, I come back to your store and THINK about buying the thing I liked--not you. The one I liked. Happily. I'll definitely marinate on it.

You know me. Just tellin' ya what is. As always.

To Become One Within

Is the greatest gift of all. Power is in greater measure when the being at hand is able to make him or herself One in thought, word, & manifestation in the world of physicality, thereby bringing to the experience of him/herself & the perception/experience of others only one thing--the expression of the Divine alive.

So much can be explained, and it is widely experienced already, over the course of the human record. And yet, the better way to experience Enlightenment, or the Ascension into Mastery, by whatever means a human life purely powers his or her way there over the course of his or her lifetime, is as One with him/herself. That is all. Freedom from all other persons, places, things, which is why, oftentimes, holy people elect poverty over experiencing their wealth in the material because this material invariably connects said person 2 the "masses" who use energy in unenlightened ways, drawing the life essence of this spiritual master back to those who have not risen above suffering. It seems foolish but brings release. It allows for the experience of ascension above worldly attachments and addictions, vices and patterns. It is more ascended to think of re-entry into such things as strategic in moving in the direction of one's enlightened next step or as the cure to release many more souls, if they R ready.

That is what it is to be a special agent of the One--e.g. a Bodhisattva--who comes on a focused mission of compassion, caring, & otherworldly spark to set the minds, hearts, and souls of humanity free, or at least provide the option. In the mind of the One Source of All That Lives In The Universe, I say this assuming that this power would only send someone with such a mission at a time and place where such a Rock Star could be of service. Otherwise, what a sad, sad waste of time & patience, not to mention soul power.

Rhapsody until U be gone.

Power Is. Turn Yourself To Light.

There R ancestors whose highest requests are being answered because I breathe. Not you. You did not come here to see justice brought to the sacrifice of their lives. I did.

Perhaps U did, too, but because you or your people R due to bring this justice. Perhaps because the ghosts U leave on this planet are still lost, still incomplete, still searching for lineage. Like U, they still search, in suffering, for their birthright.

I did not ask to be here with awareness that circles the skies, extends to dimensions, aspects of the universe seeking experience.

I did not ask to be crystal clear so that my awareness can hold your projections, your false identities, uncertainties, evil that does not wish to be purified.

How can U know true power when you believe it is outside you, & U have already defined it, rather than feel it inside, feel it independent of U as it enters your experience and leaves after you misuse it?

Rise up. Rise up, beings who R hiding in worldly outfits. You mock, torment me, my presence, because I have no fear. I am pure, untarnished Source power shining Light. Yoga or not. I am that One Revolution. A choice to live the answers to the most noble questions I have ever asked in my life.

Love: Enlightenment Changes Things

Love is. Love rules. If you choose to put the sanctity of your personal soul journey first, you may begin to experience changes in your relationships thru your realizations. If you are amongst those living mastery, you will, without hesitation, live what you have found.

Love is not about patterns, preconceived ideas, or conclusions. The experience of love is as fluid as the motion of an artist's forearm, wrist, & hand, vibrantly moving brush and color against a wall-sized mural. Love is as ever-changing, alive, and yet delicate and precious as the swing of your arms, the natural movement of your hips, and the fluidity of legs moving in time to your breath as you walk down the street. The opportunity to own yourself there, to bend reality with your will by focusing on yourself, your purpose, not the plethora of untruths swirling around you in hues & shades of realities untold.

Love enlightened means the upward movement of the allowance of human experience in the most powerful ways of loving. We are afraid of the word "powerful" because we feel that it will hurt. This is not the case. Move fearlessly through the experiences of your right choosing in perfect remembering of what you are doing. As one moves forward in mastery, a part of growth & becoming stronger is choosing environments that play to sweetness and purity upon one's senses. In truth, not in illusion. There are many ways of making things o-kay when really, they are not. This is most important to remember in relationships with other humans and other living things. Also the spirit world.

Part of what is dynamically changing our landscape now is the laying down of ultimate reality--like a so-sacred playing field--upon all of existence. It is now the time when our relationship with God will be what gets created in all of our lives. We need to believe in one another better, have faith in the interconnectedness of all of life through time, energy, and space--the field of Life universally instilled in matter and awareness. This transcends anything human labels can hold or create against the awareness that We. Are. Powerful. Indeed. We are one as Peace. We are to maintain the purity of races, religions, nationalities, cultures, denominations, etc. so to share and celebrate them for all of our learning and joy. We are the life blood of God. We are intended to know ourselves as pure energy while living. Sourced within. We cannot know this feeling until we have shed the heavy burdens and weights of living that keep us from the truth, completely detoxified ourselves as a matter of course called living, and have turned our desires over to the spiritual path of our choosing.

It is in honoring our own spirit, first, knowing our place contextually within the purpose of our generation, that breeds such complete, pristine application of non-invasive understanding to both individuals' souls and also collective truths of generations past and younger than our own. We must trust in the wisdom of this natural, tribal way of learning, gaining, empowering, and living.

There is no consequence except for all of our deaths, which is not really as bad as missing the opportunity to undertake this expression 2gether while we are here.

Universal Spirituality

Yoga is what I'm saying now because it is the end of the infinite crawl toward ultimate sage-ness for many now that there are those of us who are back, so to speak, to claim our presence on this planet. Enlightenment is what I say because it describes a state. This morality, code, and spirituality I speak of, though, that has been prophesied about, by the way, and is hoped for by religions, is King and Queen, both, over all religions. It will speak for itself, don't u think? That if a master representing, as a walking human, not a floating one or a flying one, meaning one sitting, standing, living amongst you, were to exist, that living person's mastery would be shown by being the Light of all races, religions, past, present, and future simultaneously, thereby proving the existence of a Oneness above all which all should aspire to via artwork of their beings? We R here. And you can do it. Now get to your healing.

There Is Only One U.

Fear is the greatest adversary to being in total union with the highest consciousness of Light. Fear is what keeps one from greater love, experienced and expressed. Eliminating fear occurs through wisdom, or intelligence applied to experience. A tremendous explosion of intense wisdom can be applied in a single, solitary breath, moment. It need not take a long length of time. Now envision a being taking advantage of each moment AND experience over time to abolish fear & apply wisdom. The resultant enlightenment and continued, complete experience of absolute perfection might become immeasurable.

Psychic invasion is a problem today. The need for intelligence should not cross into another person's energetic field or system. It is as sacred, possibly more sacred, than his or her physical body. It is the realm of creation giving rise to physical experience. Our problems have nothing to do with particulars in our external circumstance but a lack of discipline toward principle. As the telepathic abilities and awareness of people of all ages continue to grow, we will experience our highest values, or not, there. Anything that is criminal, wrong, or out of spiritual alignment by law or in the streets can be experienced by the human in other levels. What is needed is honesty about the totality of what we are experiencing, thereby eliminating a spiritual "police" from these matters, because we are the awareness, the response, the solution, and the freedom that dissipates the unclean, the unhappy.

Light holds all things but cannot help but burn through the false, the illusory, the weaker truths, more all the time as it grows in bright, burning intensity via its own evolution & rising, momentum in gathering energy without need for doing so, and positive force, might by rightful application.

Say to yourself that U will stop the fear of being yourself. This is the virtuous thing to do. Why R we leading asana reflecting on anything but? Why in the world are we not abolishing insecurity inside ourselves at every possible turn? Spiritual enlightenment needs to become the goal of our schools, hospitals, government, and everything that exists. Now.

A Need For Sacred Space

Remove the hungers of the planet by affording yourselves the opportunity to see the landscape cluttered no more--placed sacredly, instead, upon her shores and plains the beauty of consciously created buildings in love with the land.

Enlighten the masses by removing the obstacles to freedom--the signage with tired tales of garbage dump sales that keep souls moving farther from God within.

Open your mind and heart to resonate with true bliss consciousness/joy which begin and build in exuberance through doing right by all involved--not by building your personal boundaries via capitalistic growth but by the measure of a huge heart choosing enlightenment, nirvana, Christ consciousness, Buddha consciousness, samadhi.

This is the way out of suffering. This is the standard for being in the world unscathed amidst pain and disconnection from wisdom.

Out of the way, say I, to resistance to the destiny of this country, all living creatures, and our world. Out of the way as those who were, are, and forever will be meant to lead the soul of humanity into an experience of perfection that is, always, do. And bow to this power alone.

Reinstated - From August 12ish.2008: Samadhi - Beyond Belief

Here is the sticky thing...teaching within a paradigm in which samadhi, or supreme bliss (enlightened consciousness), is the goal, we assume that there are not already masters on the planet.

There have been so many goofy things said--"adages"--as we call them, especially within arenas of spiritual inquiry and travel, that have rendered themselves extra--a waste of energy. They get in the way of clean, clear movement.

I am going to put something out there to my students, particularly of the Indigo/Crystal ilk, that is a little bit straightforward, and it's about time we boldly embody the truth--to not be afraid of your power. We have an amazing group of conscious and admirable people who have gone before us, breaking ground, creating new patterns, or things for our consideration, in spiritual understanding, in truth, and in life, in general. We are totally fortunate and, yet, have the responsibility to stand in the truth of what we know and the gifts we have been given that, no offense, may even blow those predecessors away--the same ones who give us bonuses, raises, passage, disapproval, rejection, etc., or whatever, out of their ignorance or lovingkindness or for whatever reasons.

Do not be afraid to completely show someone up, if it's yours to do.

It's not for you to be afraid or to hide, thinking some guy or girl is the answer to the fact that you're hiding from yourself in other aspects of your life.

Yoga is a gift. It is a way of standing in truths that, formerly, enlightened ones, priest/esses, yogis, sages, etc. alone held down. And, mainly, in societies or cultural contexts in which there was great honor for these gifts. Today, this is not necessarily so. If that enlightened consciousness is part of your natural walking consciousness, be that today. Give that presence, that existence. Be that example. True enlightenment does not come through mimicry. By studying some other sage or guru or reading all of the spiritual classics in the world and calling yourself a "spiritual teacher." True teachers come with this purpose. They are not students on the path, though they are probably the best students by nature of their path. It does not come from following someone else's patterns or "doing as they might do." Think for yourself. And do what's right by the values you have found via your own life's experiences.

Enlightenment authentically expressed through any human being is done exquisitely through their own intelligence, or lack thereof, and dealing with what you end up being, good or bad, for better or for worse. If you are, by all good measure, quite enlightened, then you are that. But, either way, the effort is pure. You see? Copycat and competition-free. When you begin the conscious movement toward total surrender, if you don't just give it up and be that, or give expression to those seed-planting parts of your being-ness, you lose energy. And the other parts of you desiring that freedom, that may need activation from those first-to-go parts may very well become stymied, listless, by your mind saying "it's not time yet." Freedom comes from making the conscious choice and promise to yourself to say "yes" to becoming a 100% conduit of light and God's channel. And not so-n'-so spiritual teacher's medium. The highest of high's.

You desire prana, or some kind of etheric energy, more than food? Then don't eat, and let them call you "crazy" or "weird" for practicing your asana when there's nothing else you'd rather do. When all the ballgames and franks in the world have stopped being interesting. When the desire to make love to your God overrides any earthly desire that keeps you rolling around in stimulation or the opposite, for all the wrong reasons.

Let your silence answer their questions, or assumptions, regarding whether sexual energy is really as good as it gets in this world. Let that silence say that you've found something that renders it disinteresting, if participated in for stagnant purposes, and that they should keep trying because they have wisdom to access.

It may be that all that has formerly been "of heaven" is becoming our earth as we rise into higher levels, not only of belief but the creation of what is possible when we see samadhi, or complete, unfettered, and unsuppressed union with our true, God nature become not so much the goal but the platform from which we do, see, or create much of anything.

Own your best parts and continue on that upward, focused spiral like there ain't nothin' more to do but dance with your maker because, to be honest, there's not.

Spirituality Rules: Creating a Universally Intelligent Society of Peace

What is needed now, more than ever, is spiritual focus.

If you do not have a religion, get one. If your religion is the Earth, then acknowledge him or her. And if the golden rule means piercing someone with judgment and shame, then perhaps reconsider what your training is leading in this world. UNITE on the front of the creation of universal humans that crave the usage of their person for peace and the expression of completeness.

There is a process to enlightenment that each person can choose to embark upon. It is the same as going from preschool to 12th grade. Experiences may vary, as may teachers, however, the focus is the same--greatness created from within. It does not know religion or rely on other people. It uses, in fact, all religions, information, and spiritual truth that has ever been paid to the records of human existence, in thought, experience, hope, or knowledge. Enlightenment is the right use of all of this--resource--to pull heaven to earth, lift the human process up to that of Spirit, and to save the planet and all that's on it.

May all that deserves saving be saved, through intention and truth. That which recoils from Light within itself or another has made its choice and must overcome its stupid choice or go happily towards death. And yet, we have people today who still chase after those running towards death!

Be as present and perfectly honest as you can be, at all times, and you will create such a better planet than we currently have today. In business, in your family, most importantly--backwards in time, today, and tomorrow--in anything you do. Become enlightened in all the ways that have ever been accomplished through appreciation, as one would do with art!, and learning and love of diversity. This is the way to make beauty and artwork of yourself--unique and sparkling--with a soul that illuminates the rooms it enters and sings for God in the one language--Is-ness.

Begin today. There is no waiting. Now is the time for everyone to roll through asana, go to temple, study Scripture, and meditate into the Light. To make the incense in one's home more important than focusing on annoying neighbors or the credit card charges piling up from unfathomable needs. The one need we have is for Enlightenment today. Know it is becoming a global cause.

So there is the truth about what is to come. All those prophets and visionaries that have existed? The time is now that their visions become reality. Our technology is a mindset. True growth starts within.

Derive Your Energy From Source

The closer to tradition, the better the yoga. Yoga is not glamorous or sexy. If you are glamorous or happen to be sexy, it is. And you bring this to yoga.

Yoga is being disseminated in a world that has healing to do 1st. Then, the yoga will be clearer and better achieved, when standards of success are based on God's power within each man, woman, and child, not from intellectual superiority or aggressiveness, nor from any other form of "better" 'cept better love, more space due to experienced Divine layers of seeing. I'm sorry to say that yoga is not more than what it is, in regard to tenets and structure. When we get beyond this, it is as anything else is. Its energy is used unduly, unrightfully, in far greater possibility--Where is the nobility in that way of life?

Yoga cannot be claimed by any one human being--man or woman. Nor can it be trademarked, based on a person and their spiritual fulfillment or anything but God.

There is the end to illusion about the practice. Like prayer, it is just that--an experience that is of true benefit to us and our choosing. It is one more way for Source to treat us as we were meant to be treated because we have begun and chosen a path of Light and responsibility by choosing to be conscious.

Keep Your Energetic Hands To Yourself

Turn off your cell phone and drive. Turn off your music and run.

Silence. If you can focus on navigating the realities of silence, you have become meditation in movement--the silence alive.

If you become adept in this silence, you sense when to keep your energy to yourself. To win the battles over denser motivations, to remain light and free in your being. In your energy.

In these higher vibrations of consciousness, be aware that thought, intention, motivation, and belief can be felt across time and space--like a stone skipped across clear water, if the focus of your consciousness has sentience, that person may be able to read the telegram you've sent and link it straight to you. Be clear and honest in all things.

Loving does not mean smothering. It expresses itself with clear intention in all acts, winning over no one but standing for truth and what is best. In all actions, and in every corner and strand. What is best is known in the moment, and then overall.

The crown chakra is the direct pike to God and the spirit of pure vibration.

Learn to keep your energies inside yourself so you do not unwittingly, or consciously, fill a person, enter a person's field, copy, mimic, or in any other way hurt their energy or experiences, downgrading your personality and connection to life and spirit.

This takes practice, consciousness, desire, will power, and belief in the beauty and amazing-ness of who you are.

When you are on the receiving end of these actions by others, you can feel how it is something to eliminate from your person, as well.

The goal of yoga is to gradually make the mind like a clear pool of pristine water, so that when one's will rises up through these still waters, it is like a deity, or goddess, with a laser pointer of consciousness that creates lasting good on Earth, in an immediately felt, positive way.

On Being Yourself: Leadership of My Being

Women, endeavor to be women, look like women, enjoy being women, and harness the true power of being Divine, which does not mean trying to outdo men, be like men, overpower men, win men's attention or approval, or compete with men. We have our own power that is different and our own. It is perfect. And genuinely feminine.

Men, we do not need your looks of lust to be perfected. We need you to save your energy for yourselves. And to remember your masculinity and be unafraid to use it as the world beckons it!

It is a dream to relinquish that which you are not--to behold the power of others when they are something you cannot be--or presently are not--by title, education, genetic make-up, talent, ability, affinity, or label. Or what have you. It is peaceful to find acceptance, in your moments, of limitation and the way life is, and the way life works, as you learn better how it works yourself as you raise your own vibration and open in awareness.

We are so full of energy when we let go of desire. Be, know, choose freedom, and be heaven on earth for others in your personality, your wonder at life's beauty, and the balance you create in your life.

Turn your ideas of power back to yourself. Be at peace. Be unwilling to be a servant of anything but love and truth while you live.

Courage is so simple. It does not require magnitude or prowess. It shows up in every moment when you quietly recognize your own power and refuse to shy away from it and when you stand for something loving when it is not necessarily what everyone else is agreeing upon in the moment.

Open to love. Be a channel--a conduit--for the decision to love yourself by having the courage to be yourself, growing your character, your beauty, your enormity of purpose, and your bandwidth in becoming a person of more abundance, more influence, more range--expanding your ability to care effectively and efficiently for more and more people in a way that will set them free.

Sensuality vs. Sexuality: Yoga's Place

Some of you have heard me say in class, "Better-than-sex-yoga." How is this possible?

The practice of yoga--particularly the ancient tradition of Ashtanga (the lineage from which Power Yoga has been derived)--was practiced by ancient holymen--saddhus, brahmins, rishis, dudes on a spiritual path.

Like monks.

So, this is a man's practice, so to speak--traditionally--and I do feel deeply that there is importance in understanding being female versus being a man, knowing the difference, and honoring the all-important strength associated with being what you are. Somehow, it seems to me we are who we are for a reason.

Nevertheless, it is important to note that enlightenment, wisdom, and transcendence find any soul on this planet who has given him/herself over to embodying it.

If you know that your thoughts create reality, why give your thoughts to anything but the truth?

If we can see that what we ask for, we receive, why do we ask for anything but to be fully enlightened, Christ-like, self-realized, blessed, illuminated, or perfected?

You pick the verbiage that suits you best.

And in this sweet occupation of turning one's mind, thoughts, words, and actions over to this perfection, how is it possible to dream that life would not become simply irresistible?

That each thing in this life might not be able to be felt--sensitivities mastered, rather than being catered to--and spiritual gifts opened with a fierce passion?

When one can fully engage in his/her sexuality without needing it, he/she has transcended its power and has, indeed, mastered its power.

Then, this person is at choice as to exactly how it should and will be used in his or her daily life, each and every moment, and opens him or herself to the most pleasurable experience of all, which exists in a state of total package-ness within him or herself.

In this state, no energies of this world are needed, but all can be chosen. This is true freedom.

The clearer, more purified we become in every way, through the practice of asana, through our food choices, through the healing of the entire human vehicle which we express through, and by choice, in our thoughts, words, activities, and endeavors, the more opportunity there is to experience heightened states of sensuality, awareness, and achievement of the highest, most humanly pleasurable kind--without attachment.

Love yourself enough to embody enlightenment.

And be willing to die for it. It is the only thing worth dying for.

Let Us All Be Maximized: Mentally, Emotionally, Physically, and Energetically

Let every one of us be maximized. The experience of doing so will be borne out of a new paradigm--learning about empowerment and the subsequent expression of the new human--a freed human earnest to own his/her identity as energy and light. One whose capital comes--more than ever before--from the expression of his or her awareness of all of his or her make-up, with no part being stymied or shut off. Whose understanding is that we are created to experience bliss and freedom while honoring this life and all that is in it.

I have said before that if I felt that, as a realized human being, it were more advantageous for me, in my self-knowledge and acumen, to apply myself to becoming, perhaps, a doctor or a state's person, so be it. That is something only I would know and could decide, as an empowered person.

Yet I stand by the fact that there is something dreadfully wrong with society, at large, so long as its mission, vision, and values, from the blades of grass to the highest skyscraper, are without a spiritual mission and purpose by choice. Let our most important endeavors, as a society, become, perhaps for the first time on United States soil, those of spiritual quality and implication and achievement. May we be the leaders of this world by owning the grandeur of the task that has always been ours--to unify the world on one plot of land and call it One--and say that we lead through enlightenment and the illumination of our processes and minds for the sake of all that lives and breathes.

If you are with me, then your spiritual evolution must come before all else. As an advanced yogi is able to shut out all outer distraction whilst he or she is amidst a flowing yoga practice, so too is the empowered human being able to stand firm in the truth of his or her pact with God--something so individual and personal, between one and his or her depth--and nothing can tear that being from this center.

There is no greater goal than this: to create a peaceful and potent society that fosters, nurtures, cultivates, and empowers the decision of enlightenment in every person, from ground up, from birth on. And that, my friends, is what this yoga training empowers.

Yoga has now become most relevant to everything that exists.

Healing Equals Enlightenment/Samadhi!

Dear Students,

A focus on healing is really equivalent to the focus of Samadhi, or Bliss consciousness, as both are about communion with Universal Energy--the Is-ness of God.

You hear me mention sometimes the "yoking" of one's will to align yourself with God--harnessing, taking the reigns on your life--free will. Let us discuss this.

As a metaphysician, or someone who understands the realm of Spirit and all that that entails--and has learned about universal spiritual principles within this paradigm, or truth, one of the first premises of such an outlook is that you never infringe upon the free will of others. Ever.

A virtuous healer, or someone who has given his or her life in the direction of facilitating healing in others, will always ask permission, prior to applying his or her will in the direction of creating such healing result in another.

Just as as a Roman Catholic, baptized and confirmed, something so basic is the Golden Rule--treat others the way you would like to be treated.

Pretty simple.

May the truth lead the way.

So it is with yoga--that our will is our own, and the life of a yogi/ni is solidified when said yogi/ni has "yoked," or, by choice, turned his or her eyes, in every way, toward God--toward lovingkindness, honor, virtue, sweetness, peace, and embodying the truth, as it is found through one's yoga practice and life experiences which help one to know God, or the truth, of all human life.

Such a will is to be cultivated through one's choice, not thru laws or any person other than him or herself.

That is the journey of the empowered human who has chosen the issuance of Spirit as his or her own, not for favor amongst others, though he or she will gain it--not due to the charge, in any one direction, of his or her peers, friends, teachers, or chosen ones.

It is internally chosen, by will, in every precious, God-given moment...one step at a time, and cannot think about the past or the future in terms of what will come of it. Only that it is as clear as its environment will allow, even as it alters the consciousness and fields of energy of the environments it enters and plays within.

What has been called the "healing path" is the same. To turn one's eyes, or mind, in every way, toward creating health and alignment with God in one's mind, body, emotions, energies, and all else--this is a choice--to heal or not heal. And to get the assistance one would need to do that. Passionately and with fervor. With a reverence for the life one has been given and to see no higher or better pursuit than the excellence of one's entirety. This is the most loving choice.

It would uplift all of humanity if each of us was so bold. To realize that healing oftentimes is right there in the moment and that some of us have created quite a situation for ourselves, in terms of winding ourselves up without plucking out the hidden variables of distrust, miscommunication, diversion, manipulation, and such, first, and dissipating them with our essence.

It is not for us to pretend as if we do not have a responsibility to uplift the quality of life on this planet, and so many of us are spread thin and wide doing everything but being honest.

Why are we making love to spawn more children or agreeing to head up another charity, or cause, when, at home, there is unrest and, moreso, there is tangled-up-ness and dis-ease within ourselves?

The human mind must desire and love God as a result of choosing God and experiencing beautiful, inspiring results. Fortunately, there are peacemakers on the planet who choose this path because there is no other path for them--so momentous is the glory of their soul in this way. It would be like trying to stop a large army headed toward the last battlefield of their life or a comet with a toothpick. It is ridiculous and miraculous and a great honor to have such beings on this earth amongst us.

Choose your masters with discernment.

Ain't Sports

Yoga ain't sports. Please don't compare yourself to pictures you see, or even the ones you have in your brain. Come to class.

I hear people say all the time that they aren't "flexible," or something along those lines, and I have to say that, as shown in communities where the lifestyle is more developed than in most parts of the Midwest, there are a plethora of reasons to make yoga a way of life--the physical part being just one reason. Class is usually the core part of that lifestyle, but flexibility will come (and usually fast). The benefits of even efforting in a yogic direction is a high and virtuous effort, indeed. Sweet, too.

Another thing I hear is that it's "intimidating." Right there--that's thinking.

We don't think in yoga. We breathe and move. That's about it. Feel, sense, heal ourselves, and look good. Yea, it looks nice.

It doesn't matter, however, because you're so into how splendidly uplifted and good it is to be practicing your yoga that nothing else in the world seems quite so right or as important.

I, frankly, like the fact that I can smell all the yoga spaces I've ever practiced in still in my yoga mat. It's like I step onto that simple black rectangle and I am one with every studio, teacher, and collective class effort I've ever interacted with. And anything I've ever done on my own.

And the collective efforts I don't like, I just don't go there.

I love yoga.

It is good to spend more time loving and choosing, rather than getting down on and analyzing, as a path, whether you're practicing yoga or not. These things are felt.

If you endeavor to be that person, yoga is a good pathway because yogis and yoginis tend to get down like that (you know, as in live)(the real good ones, anyway).

Spirit Leadership Is In The Ujjayi Breath

I will be the first to say that "going with the flow" is about as sweet an experience as anything. Being a yogi/ni, and/or a naturally flowing person, however, isn't about being wishy washy or unconscious. It's about being clear and confident because you move from your truth.

In this place, you become the burning fire, the flame--passion, as it is known to be--but there is no passion within you. Only you standing in truth--the truth of your being.

Allow the companion of your practice--your slow and rhythmic breathwork--to become the burning flame of your time on the yoga mat. Allow it to become a reflection of how you are at your peak, and, simultaneously, constant, as an expression that you are still focused and in the room.

Rather than force yourself through challenging postures and/or transitions, afford yourself the opportunity to trust your yoga by allowing your breath to lead the way...the body becoming a mighty servant to the breath, as it moves through every cell of your being, revealing love and wisdom and truth as it goes.

Be the first to say that you are the one you've been wanting for so very long, and develop self-knowledge in this new state and awareness.

To go with the flow is to follow where Spirit leads, which takes courage, discipline, and practice.

Are you aware that there's Spirit flowing through you?

Where The Heck Does She Get That From???

One of the reasons many of the Power Yoga students attend my classes is the uniqueness of what they experience while they're in there. I liken it to a lesson in world civilizations over time with so much soul, presented in one total self experience called Power Yoga:

I'm sharing some really great comments from a charismatic person who attends my classes in the Crossroads. Here is his feedback from his attendance at Power Yoga classes on a regular basis (with Ron's permission, of course):

...New Year's Day class was such a blessing for me, I feel as if I moved ahead several steps in one day. And last saturday was similar. Thanks to Power Yoga I am back in control of my inner energy and Monday I was able to stop back pain by balancing my energy during some meditations without stretching or moving. I want to compliment you, Amy, on dedicating your life to the noble cause of making the world a better place by enriching people's lives through the Yoga that you teach. Amy, you pursue a noteworthy and remarkable endeavor. One that is especially needed in an externally focused consumer based society where comfort is preferred over character by the vast majority. People in our society desperately need to understand that true happiness comes from within and radiates outward rather than getting happiness from something outside themselves. I have traveled a little and experienced some different cultures outside of America and one of our greatest flaws is our incongruent relationship to our prosperity. I have met people in other countries who have very little in matierial possessions yet are very happy. And sometimes they are very healthy in comparison. As a nation we have "supersized" not only our meals but our entire lives - our work weeks, goals, mortgages so much that we can't seem to see past our expanded pseudo waistlines to find the ground to get our feet back where they belong. Our society needs balance and moderation more now than ever before. It is quite heart warming to see someone else working to make a difference. And you are making a difference. Hats off to you Amy! Class Rules

Each of us has standards of excellence or ways we like to run our energy, whether those energies be mental/psychic, physical, or whatever.

In class, oddly enough, the rules of the game are as much about who you are as a person and how golden you can become as it is how high your can get your leg up in the air in standing splits.

I like to say that the students who dig on Power Yoga are people who resonate with the idea that a great mental attitude, and great beingness, and working on it, can work wonders on and off the yoga mat. I like to think that I adjust as many heads, possibly even hearts, during a Power Yoga class as I do body parts...

It is in this way that this particular class, which is like a mindful, challenging Vinyasa Flow, is not to be used as an escape from everyday life, though it may be that, but as training ground to be happier and wiser.

The rules, or work ethic, in Power Yoga class are as such:

-You are present and challenge yourself according to your circumstances and innate wisdom
-You come to class with a good attitude, wanting to practice, loving your practice, and going home, sweaty or not, in a blissed out, worked out state that lifts you higher, and seriously affects your mood, life, and person in an enriching way
-You listen to your breath, even more so than to the words being spoken, and engage your bhandas (energy locks) from beginning 'til we hit svasana
-You love your practice (again)(because you've chosen it)
-Stilo matters: Look sharp, come fresh and clear
-You expect to dance rhapsody with your spirit
-You use wisdom that adds beauty to the class
-You are yourself and are into learning more of your truest potentials
-You smile while amidst difficult situations
-You work on how you move as much as the poses we do
-There is no point in being afraid. Just use your wisdom.

After having said all of that, I'll say that this is a peace movement. Like training ground for spiritual warriors of a variety of backgrounds and genetic make-ups. And it is in that rich diversity that we literally change society from the inside out, perhaps even turning it on its head (in a good way--like handstand without using the wall)!

Leadership in the 21st Century: Love

In previous times, powerful people were people in power--meaning power struggles, and they won. Today, we are redefining the term "power," understanding power as something internally sourced, as opposed to mirrored or gotten outside of ourselves.

So, in one sense, stepping to the yoga mat, or any healthy spiritual development practice that grows one's soul power--like a samurai, I often say, or a fighter--is completely self-centered, in that growing one's power is extremely fascinating and self-gratifying...and, at the same time, the more one grows one's own true power, the more impossible it becomes to use it destructively or in any direction except greater benevolence or love. I say that in a totally plain and, simultaneously, passionate, fiery from my soul way. I cannot share with you what I have experienced in this regard but can encourage you to share your power as you harness and hold it, for oftentimes we squander it, instead of focusing and going straight for the gold...be yourself.

Love is the perfect ladder for us all to be climbing as we climb the inevitable ladders of life and success, as we define it.

When you forget to grow your personal expression and attribute of love, you get "lost" in the world, so I encourage everybody to remember what helped you realize yourself and reap the rewards of love, gratitude, and ecstasy, as you feel them. Then lose yourself, like Rumi!, and dance, dance, dance--in Spirit and within yourself.

Other people will notice...I promise. ;)

If you have forgotten the importance of love, you will not realize your true power in this lifetime.

Making it to the Mat

When you're first starting to practice, or even after you've been practicing for a while, one of the hardest things to do is to make it to the mat. And that's where the alchemy occurs...

I try to encourage my students to "get there." That's it. Then, all they have to do is let go and let the yoga work for them. Whatever their desires, goals, hopes, dreams, etc. Let go, and see what Spirit has in store for you...you never know where it may lead...

That's exciting. Especially when you consider it's pretty relaxing, challenging, and hearty--like a bowl of etheric Campbell's soup, sent in waves and rushes through your being when you least expect it. But on a regular basis. This is what we like to call "communion with the Divine." Welcome to class.

There are plenty of places to get your information for the day. I like to say that one's own clear channel of peace--that energetic column that's informed totally and completely by one's own fullness--mind, body, and spirit, ego, high self, and soul, plus plus--God--that's a good place to check in with as frequently as possible. So that's why yoga's a nice way to spend some time.

Get to the mat, y'all.

Spiritual Revolution: Yoga Rules To Live By...

If you are reading this, you're likely one of my students. If you're not, you are now part of the Spiritual Revolution sweeping the planet. Welcome. We are here to dance this peaceful revolution into existence by doing everything we said we'd do "when..." The time is now, and human empowerment is not only our birthright as part of the luxury of being human but our responsibility...as our focus and our goal. To attain enlightenment is the only reason we are here--the only reason, in fact, that anything with sentience has ever existed. And so it is that we are now on the brink of realization, en masse, as we dance the sweetness of Bliss into being...together.

If you were part of the Indigo awakening, or continue to be, please know that you are here for leadership...beginning, first and foremost, with yourself. We are today's and tomorrow's CPA's, lawyers, doctors, healers, teachers, volunteers, police men and women, superintendents, ministers and spiritual leaders, organization heads, and visionaries in the making. We are the CEO's, small business owners, artists, rock stars, and political leaders of this New Age that will singlehandedly and forevermore create literal, worldwide change of universal proportion. And I say that with very little to no hesitation. And absolute trust in the perfection of its unfolding.

Dear Ones, please do not be afraid, for it is a matter of time before we heal this whole god d**ned place. Surely, the better portion of the universe is on our side. And if you are fulfilling the purpose for which you came, then certainly you are on the side of reason that we cannot go wrong when you look at the playing cards and the talent pool...

So dance your rhapsody however you wish, but please do make it a smoke-free, clean, clear, and easy type of experience. I mean, the clearer and more enlightened we can make this journey, the better. And y'all haven't been given these most amazing and powerful tools for nothin'.

Better get to using them. And get off all those non-supportive, energetic patterns no longer serving you, and it'll be a much more free and expansive ride for us all.
