On Music As Unifying Force:
A Dimension Of My Personal Contribution: We rocked the state & made a national name for ourselves, Wahlert High School, because I PIONEERED the undeniable integration of Hip Hop Music into the warm-up tape...as any solid athlete would. Similarly, I became one of few known Yoga Teachers, upon the commencement of stepping onto a yoga floor, to also lead people into the Light with predominantly Hip Hop & R&B, done Power Yoga-well. Anyone wanting to truly grasp soul, depth, endless resource, or perseverance would be well served to appreciate the truth of the African-American community. Just remember this: I had a predominantly Caucasian, packed, Saturday morning Power Yoga class at The Dubuque Community YM/YWCA, where someone was coincidentally, leaving a Time magazine, with Kim Jong Un on the cover (for me?)--like every Saturday, filled with notable figures & family members from both the Medical and Dental communities, Mental Health, Food & Beverage, a local Attorney at Cottingham & Butler?, college students, a high school football hunk and his bevy of female hotties, amongst others, all doing "The Wobble" at the end of class, just to make a point. EVERYONE did it. And EVERYONE nailed the footwork & transitions. Breaking people's stereotypes, including about themselves, is what makes my moon shine. And everyone spending their $$$ on drugs is like, "DuuUUUhhh, WHAAaaaaaAAAttT?" Yeah, keep smoking & sniffing your brain cells away. We'll see you later, when you formulate your next sentence. We're already turnt 100 levels up, & all we had to do was stand on our hands with our bhandas tucked for a few seconds.
